This garden is hand-set in Cormorant Garamond and Source Serif, with Inter for the machinery and JetBrains Mono for the code. It is compiled from plain Markdown by Next.js, styled with Tailwind, and animated, sparingly, with Framer Motion.

I am an engineer who never quite stopped being an English major. For fifteen years I have built software systems — the kind that disappear when they work — and for as long I have kept a parallel habit of reading seriously and writing badly, on purpose, until the writing stopped being quite so bad.
This site is the intersection of those two lives. It is not a blog in the broadcast sense, and it is not a résumé in the usual one. It is a digital garden: a patch of ground where essays grow from field notes, where the reading shelf is honest, and where half-formed ideas are allowed to be visible while they mature.
The aesthetic is deliberate. The web around us is loud, bright and engineered for the next refresh. I wanted a corner of it that feels like a reading room — dark when the evening calls for it, set in good type, and quiet enough that a thought can finish itself.
How the garden is kept
- 01
Publish half-formed, revise forever.
An idea worth having is worth sharing before it is finished. This garden treats every page as a draft that may grow.
- 02
Let the shelf show the reading.
No curated front page pretending to have read everything. The library shows what is actually being read, queued and finished.
- 03
Plain text over platforms.
Everything here lives in ordinary files that will outlive any service that renders them. The web is a visitor, not a landlord.
- 04
Slow over new.
The internet rewards the loud and the fresh. This place is a small counter-current: quiet, patient, and unashamed to be.
If you read something here that stays with you, that is the whole point of the place.
